The center of it all!
Team Leaders play a central role in the Landmark Experience. Volunteers serve in teams of up to 13 students under the leadership and supervision of an adult Landmark Team Leader. The Team Leaders are the connection between the site, the volunteers, and the Landmark office. They also play many other important roles:
- A source of team building - Team Leaders are responsible for building a group of strangers into a cohesive and supportive team.
- A source of direction - Team Leaders are responsible for organizing the team in the work environment and helping them work most effectively as a group.
- A source of fun - Team Leaders don't just help the group get work done safely; they are a primary source of fun - organizing and attending the many after-work activities like swimming, hiking, cookouts, and often instigating many laughs.
- A source of inspiration - Team Leaders are role models clear and simple. They are college graduates, socially conscious, responsible leaders of the community who have shown an interest and aptitude for assuming a leadership role. Meet a Team Leader >>
- A source of new volunteers - Many of our Team Leaders are instrumental in promoting Landmark Volunteers across the country. As Landmark Ambassadors, they speak at schools and serve as a resource for interested volunteers. Become a Landmark Team Leader Ambassador >>
- A Source of new Team Leaders - Let us know about a friend or colleague you think would be interested in being a Team Leader>>
